Project Description: *Winner VP Hall of Fame 2004- Best of Recreational category

Ph1- 26,000sf masonry, structural steel, light gauge trusses & pre-engineered metal building to house 10,000sf gymnasium, administrative offices, multi purpose meeting rooms and fitness center. Project also included a Jr. Olympic swimming pool and 11 acres of site improvements. Hybrid structural systems produced a facility with a unique appearance and large clear span for gymnasium. Direct purchase administration facilitated by the contractor produced significant tax savings.

Ph2- 14,000sf addition for new fitness area, cycling room, Yoga studio, conference room plus 7,000sf remodel to include new preschool child care area, teen center with climbing wall, aerobics room, and new secure check-in area.  Challenge to aesthetically incorporate new additions into the old building. Safety & schedule coordination with staff of major importance to keep existing facility in full operation during construction (example:before opening hours 4am concrete pour.)
