Project Description:
36 one bedroom units in a 3-story apartment building with elevator .All units equipped with full kitchens. Apartments of masonry block and hollowcore pre-stress floors for a total living space of 27,000sf. Northside 1st floor units have ADA equipped bathrooms and entry. 1 Elevator services the building. Common laundry, restroom and community room on each floor. 600sf maintenance building also built on site. This phase of the Bradenton Village-Hope VI project for City of Bradenton HUD Housing included all site work, parking and connection to rest of the Hope VI project. Site challenges included dewatering and excavation of soils on site to dry and reuse soils to achieve correct compaction for foundation. Safety challenges with steep pitch roof met by using new Hugs safety railing system. Manasota staff responsible for all project management, contracts administration, material procurement and sub-contractor coordination.
